Year 2007... memories
Year 2007 was very nice for us. I didn't compete so much in
juniorhandling (I'm getting little bored with it...) but we had nice moments
in breed rings!
Well you can guess what was the best thing in 2007? - Yeh, you
were right! Of course it
was my birthday - the day when Fallow arrived to Finland :-)) I'm so
thankfull to Pamela &
Ryan for letting me have her here in Finland with us.
In year 2007 Fallow had 8 shows... twice BOB-puppy, BIS-puppy, 5 x
EXC, 4 x EXC/1, CC,
res-CC, 2 x Best Bitch -placement and once BOS. Wow.. I never did
expect nothing like
this :-))
Vimma didn't take part many breed rings... but her EXC/3 from open
class at our national
speciality was something really special - there were 27 enteries in
open class !!! Wow...
I also handled some very nice result to other dogs too...
Well let's see what is going to happen in 2008 !! It will be my last
year in juniorhandling
so there is many juniorhandling competitions and Fallow will be
shown many many times..
in Finland and also abroad :-)
Thank you my friends - old and the new ones for making this year so
special for us.
Especially to Salla Hukari and Pamela Hunter and of course to Salla
Suokas!! And to
everyone who spent weekend with us in Mariefred.
Let's make 2008 even better !!

8-9.12 Helsinki International Finnish Winner 2007
On Saturday morning I had pleasure to handle pharaohhound girl "Merit" (Northgate's
Before The Dawn) to judge Rainer Vuorinen, FIN.
On afternoon was time to Fallow's ring. My very good friend Salla Suokas
handled Fallow
this time because I supposed to compete in juniorhandling... well I was so
nervous that I
couldn't do anything! Whippet were judged by Åge Gjetnes from Norway. He
was really
tuff and in males gave only 4 EXCs...
Well at first Fallow got EXC! And
then among 13 juniorbitches she won the class which means that she is new FINNISH JUNIOR
WINNER 2007!!

I handled Dinja (Silentkaze Call Me Sunshine) for great EXC/2 placement!
She was only
beaten by Best Bitch 2nd "Bree" Burnt Sienna Midsummer Breeze
- congrats Lisa!!
Fallow is now also qualified to Crufts 2008 & 2009.

17-18.11 Jyväskylä International
I travelled to Jyväskylä together with Laura-Maria and our dogs Fallow,
Vimma & Kevin.
On Saturday I competed in juniorhandler with Vimma. We didn't do very good
job in
the ring and I missed the "final ring" when judge picked handlers to
continuecompetition.
Laura-Maria's Kevin was Best Male 3rd, congratulations!

On Sunday Fallow was in ring. Today whippets were judged by Jill Peak from
Great Britain.
Fallow got EXC and won her class. She didn't be placed in Best Bitch -ring
but still she was judges choise for
Best Of Breed -junior!

I also handled Salla's GNT
& Nala while Salla was taking care of Vimma's
sisters newborn
puppies!
GNT was 4th in open class with VG and Nala 3rd with EXC. Thank you Salla
for trusting
these sweethearts into my hands.

Congratulations !!!

I want to congratulate Vimma's brother Silentkaze Act Of Courage
for his third Finnish
CC at Seinäjoki INT.
So he finished his championtitles and now he can add
Finnish & Estonian Ch titles to his name!! Congratulations to

20-21.10 Seinäjoki International
On Saturday I had only juniorhandling competition. Again I competed with
pharaoh but
this time with Kiara, Ch Siphra's Back-Door Angel. We did such a great job
and we were
among best 12th handlers. Thanks Elina for letting me compete with Kiara!
I also handled pharaohhound Northgate's Before The Dawn in Best Bitch
-class and she
won it and was BOS! Congratulations Heidi!
On Sunday I had only Fallow in ring. She did great job under judge Robert
Paust, USA.
She won juniorclass with EXC and later placed as 3rd Best Bitch with
res-CC !!
She was only beaten by two championclass females.
Thanks Lanttu for being so super during our trip. And Salla & Iida for
company, and for
my new hair ;-))

6.10 Oulu International
What a great day we had ! Whippets were
judged by Laura COX from Ireland and my girls were
handled by my friend Salla Suokas because I was in juniorhandling ring at
the same time.
Fallow & Vimma both won their classes with EXC. And Fallow won bitches too
!! And got
her first CC !! Unfortunately she is too young to get CACIB.
Later she went BOS to Ch Tiger's Chaos Xtralite Mate - congratulations!

9.9 Tampere Speciality
I had entered both of my girls to this show. Judge was Bjorg Foss
(Xploring whippets)
from
Norway. My girls did extremely good job under her :-))
Fallow was first time in juniorclass and she got EXC and placed second in
her class,
only beaten by BOB winner of the day.
Salla Suokas showed Vimma to winner of open class with EXC !
In Best Bitch -class Vimma placed 3rd with res-CC and Fallow was judges
last cut .. so she
was kind of fifth. Both of girls got very nice critics.
Thank you Salla for your help with Vimma !! You're pro ;-)) And of course
breeder-Salla for
everything. Also thanks Tiia for company.

21.7 Helsinki Sighthound Speciality
At first I handled Dinja (Silentkaze Call Me
Sunshine). This time she got only VG from Björg
Foss.
Later it was Drava's (Kucorgó-Dombi Dráva)
turn to be in the ring. And wow what a result
for that boy we got!
He was Best Male, got CAC and become a Finnish Champion
!! And finally he went BOB. Congrats Nina!
Judge was Björg Foss.
I took part to
juniorhandling with Drava. Judge Karin Hedberg placed us 4th! So we had
quite a nice day... thank you all!

15.7 Kokkola International
It
was Fallow's last time in puppyclass. And she was
Best Of Breed -puppy under judge Elizabeth Janzon
from Sweden
(Wolf Tone whippets).

I took also part in juniorhandling competition with
pharaoh-Merit. This wasn't good day for us ;o) Everything went bad after judge Francesco Cochetti
asked me to show Merit's teeth... Merit got really
mad to me and when I showed Merit's movements she
jumped like a kangaroo in the ring - and I just
couldn't do anything for her.. it was quite funny I think ;o)

9-10.6 Whippet weekend at
Mustiala
On Saturday we had our national speciality. Bitches
were judged by Eva Yacoby
(Copyco whippets). Fallow
started our day being 4th in 7-9 months puppy class
with very nice critic. She had lame in her back leg
because she ran in forrest with her friends on
Friday and hurted her leg...
Luckily Vimma made my day !! She was 3rd with EXC
(only
8 bitches got EXC in open class) of
27 open class
bitches !! I'm so proud of my little girl. She got
very nice critic also.
I handled also Nevedith Geefa
Gee N'Tee "GNT" and his son Silentkaze Beloved One
"Niki" -
both got VG from judge Cathie Brown.
On Sunday it was unoffical whippet show. Fallows
leg was more better
(she used it normally on
Saturday evening too)
and at first she was 1st in
7-9 months old bitches, then BIS 7-9 months
old puppy and later BIS of all puppies (4-7
months old and 7-9 months old) !
Vimma didn't
placed in open class of 15 bitches. Today bitches
were judged by Cathie Brown
(Bluestreak whippets).
I handled also Silentkaze Beloved One "Niki" and he
was 4th in intermediate class with HP,
judged by Eva
Yacoby.
I want to thank my friends who made this weekend
very memorable.We had very very nice
time and I hope
that we had this kind of weekend again some day!

26.5 Iisalmi National
I had two wonderful girls with me this time. Of course
my own Vimma and pharahhound female -not Weera,
but
her daughter Merit
(Northgate's Before The Dawn).
Vimma took part to breed ring. She was 4th in open
class with Excellent. Vimma was handled by her breeder Salla and Arto Paananen - thank you !!
Judge
was Stefan Sinko.
I was in whippet ring at Best Male
-class with GNT (Nevedith Geefa Gee N'Tee)
and he was Best Male! And
later BOS. Congratulations to
Salla for GNT and Nala's CC's!
While Vimma was in breed ring I was in
juniorhandling ring with Merit. Merit did very very good work and showed herself very beautifully !! I'm
so proud of this one-year-old little girl. I think
that we did very good job,
but judge Marko Salmela
didn't feel the same way and we didn't be placed
today with Merit.

12-13.5 Oulu National
We
had show in our hometown. On Saturday it was very
cold, windy and rainy day. It was horrible weather
for sighthounds and of course FCI group 10 was then.
I competed in juniorhandlig with Vimma under judge
Marjatta Pylvänäinen-Suorsa and we didn't be placed.
In breed ring Vimma got VG. Whippets were judged by
Svante Frisk from Sweden.
It was not so good day for
us.. Vimma didn't show herself well because of the
weather was bad.
On Sunday we had super weather ! Warm and sunny.
Juniorhandlers were judged by Petra Palukka and I
competed with pharaohhound Weera
(Ch Faouzhia's
Crown Jewel Of North). We did very good job in the
ring and we were among 9 best handlers. I am very proud of Weera.

28.4 Lahti International
I travelled to Lahti with Vimma & Fallow and Mari and
her dogs Tuure & Jomppe. We had very nice time -
thank you Mari !!
Vimma was in the ring and she was entred to open
class. She was 4th in open class with
Excellent.
Vimma was also in Silentkaze -breedersgroup and it
was BOB, congratulations

13.4 Welcome to Finland
Fallow!!
Welcome to home Fallow! At the same day I celebrated
my 16th birhtday so that day was quite brilliant.

24-25.3 Tampere
International
I spent two days at Tampere International dogshow. On
Saturday I only handled bullmastiff female Legionas
Armada "Miina".
On Sunday I competed in juniorhandlig with my own
Vimma. She hasn't so much energy in ring but it was
wonderful compete with her because we haven't met
during last two months! We didn't be placed in that
competition but I got my lovely girl back to home
and that was the best part of whole trip :-)

10-11.3 Lithuania
International
Vimma went to Lithuania for two international shows
with her breeder-Salla. On Saturday she placed third
in her class and on Sunday she won her class and got
CC! Thank you Salla for handling her!

Vimma has been visiting at Salla's place now almost
2 months and I miss her so much! I bring her home
after two weeks from Tampere International show -

6-7.1 Kajaani International
Like every year also this year we started our shows
at Kajaani's INT.
On Saturday I competed in juniorhandling with bichon
frisé female Jane (Sugerin Super Electric)
and we were among the best 9 handlers! We also got
chanced dogs in this ompetition.
Judge was Maritsa Pietikäinen.
On Sunday Vimma was in ring. She won intermediate class
with excellent. Judge was Jean-Jaques Dupas from
Francé. With pharaohound Weera (Ch Faouzhia's
Crown Jewel Of North) we were among the best
10 handlers in juniorhandling, judged by Kirsi Nummela.
